Mia's birth story

Mia was born on January 16, 2019, 10 days after the due day at 9:59 am with 9lb14oz and 53cm.
It all started the day before at 9am when my waters broke, I started to feel a lot of pain in the afternoon and I went to the hospital with 2 cm of dilation, I was in pain all day and trying to dilate, it was a horrible day and night with a lot of pain, trying everything to get her born.

At 7 am the next day I asked for epidural and it was not possible because I was already with 10 cm dilated and the only thing they told me was to push, I never felt so much pain in my life.
Finally at 9:59 am she was born, were more than 24 hours of labor, but after joy comes worry.
When Mia was born we realized that she had a gum with a lump that did not allow her to close her mouth, after talking with some doctors we came to the conclusion that it was better to go to a hospital able to operate her as soon as possible.
A few hours after she was transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge (one of England's best hospital), 5 days after she was operated, it was the worst days in our lives, I had just had a baby, me and my boyfriend went to the hospital every day (2 hours by car), I was like a zombie. It was horrible to see her going through all this, so many cables, so many machines and she was so little.
Thank goodness the operation went very well and she reacted very well and a few days later we went home with our baby who is now almost 7 months old, I can't believe, time goes by. I'm very pround of her.
